Last week, Apple TV+ debuted the first three episodes of The After Party and Netflix debuted all of The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window. I inhaled both of them by Friday evening (technically, Saturday morning!). Both series are thoroughly entertaining and unafraid to play with genre, but with drastically different tones and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
This week, Netflix debuted Murderville, which I watched in one sitting and guessed along with each guest detective-in-training. It was light and fun and while I am grateful to Netflix for putting it out into the world, I SO wish it landed on broadcast with weekly episodes. It could either keep the rotating celebrity guests or even be a game show. I think people would have had so much fun tuning in to crack a silly mystery each week! That aspect feels like a missed opportunity, but again, I'm just happy we have it in whatever capacity we do. Enjoy!
