Now that we have multiple episodes of most of our new shows under our collective belts, what do you think? What are you loving? What would you shrug off if it were cancelled? If you're just meeting me, one important thing to know is that I rarely consider a show to be bad. I generally rate based on how well I connect with it instead. Just like we can't be everything to everyone as individuals, neither can a single show!
My best surprise was
Frogger! When I get home from work on Fridays, I watch Frogger and the work week starts to melt away. I hope this first season is 52 episodes so that I never have a Friday without an episode of Frogger. It's silly and fun and you feel like you're watching with Damon and Kyle thanks to their commentary style. Give it a try! I bet you'll smile.
My favorite kiddos debut is
The Kids Tonight Show (though I did enjoy Create the Escape very much)! The Kids Tonight Show is the winner for me for its positively infectious joyful energy.
My favorite pilot was
The Wonder Years! Rarely do you see a show fully formed and fully confident right out of the gate.
My favorite streaming show so far is
Dopesick! (Only Murders in the Building started too early for my running list). It's hard to call a show this serious a favorite, but wow. It's just captivating!
My favorite network show so far is
The Wonder Years! My expectations were sky high going in given that literally any project with a Psych alum is going to catch my attention, but to also love the original The Wonder Years and then see Fred Savage involved, I just knew we were in for something special.
Favorites by network are
ABC: The Wonder Years (to be fair to Queens, it was the latest to the party and I am intrigued so far!)
CBS: Ghosts
FOX: Tie between The Big Leap and Our Kind of People
NBC: Home Sweet Home
